Interview nerves

I used to be more nervous than you when I used to go for interviews. My anxiety kicked in really badly that I used to leave the house all dressed up but not go to the interview. I just would ended going to watch a movie or something.

It's all about confidence in yourself, if you know the job then there is no need to be nervous. I started to forcing myself to tackle my fear and began going to interviews even when I had a job just to get myself relaxed and it really helped. Now I breeze through the interviews I don't even get butterflies.

You will be fine what's the worst that can happen? They say 'sorry you didn't get the job'. At least you tried and now you will have some confidence to go to the next one and improve on any mistakes that you made.

Ask for feedback if you get OR don't get the job it will help a lot

I guess I am lucky as I don't get nervous I have had a few recently and the way I look at it is you are just going for a meeting and a chat to try and establish if you are right for each other. It shouldn't be a grilling, certainly not a first interview and it is important it's a two way conversation as you need to work out if they are as right for you as it is they get a good idea if you are what they are looking for.

Be enthusiastic and confident and ask questions when the opportunity arises (don't wait until the end). Drop in examples of your awesomeness where relevant, and don't be afraid to get qualification on the answers you give to make sure you gave them what they were after. A good one for the "Do you have any questions?" is to flip it back on them to ask if they have any concerns with your ability to do the job. This could give you a chance to clear up any potential misunderstandings or things you missed or weren't clear on.

I guess I have an advantage of not being out of work so the pressure isn't there.

Stroll casually into the interview wearing an AMD cap and munching on a packet of tangfastics.

If that doesn't work, then the company isn't for you.

Nerves are a terrible thing. I'm fortunate that I don't really get them unless presenting to large groups (technical papers were a nightmare for me).
Just go in there knowing that you are suitable for that job. That you have the skills and knowledge. That you are the right person for it.

at least you've got a bit of notice so that you have to time to prepare/research. I got a call at 12 o'clock today and they want me to go in for an interview at 15:30.
I had an interview on Tuesday and was quite nervous before it, but it was quite a relaxed interview by a young girl about my age and to be honest I knew the job role better than she did. Luckily I seemed to really impress them with the answers I gave because they want me back for a second interview.
