Interview on the 27th and I'm away, what to do??

They are a water company, tell them you have a leak and will be in as soon as it is fixed. That will give you until December.

Then when you do have the interview don't forget to have an unexpected leak on the floor. It will show them that you understand what the company is all about. For bonus points bring in your own red and white fencing and traffic lights and set it up around the 'burst area' with a sign apologizing for the inconvenience.

If the company doesn't understand that you've booked a holiday (flights, hotel etc.) then to be honest they don't sound like they'd be worth working for. This shouldn't even be an issue? Tell them you're away, they can reschedule. Easy. Again, if they think ill of you for that then I wouldn't want to work for them..

Prettty much this, All companies must be prepared to reshedule interviews due to clashing holidays.

It's my third interview in the last 10years and for once I really want this job! Yeah a bit premature but waiting kills me!

Guys I've been offered and interview on the 27th of this month and I'm on holiday.

I've already spoken with the HR department and they will 'see what can be done' as they understand August is a holiday month.

The thing is I've been after a way into the company for months (Wessex Water) have I blown it??

Advice please chaps.

Pooing though a letterbox is not an option.

I work for a water company and few of them in the past.

What area of work is this out of interest?

He's mentioned above it's power jetting, so cleaning crew on a jet vac I'd hazard.

Big Boy, have you experienced this before? It can be pretty unpleasant, the jet vacs spray everywhere so you'll get a nice fine misting and some of the chambers you may have to clean will be thick with sludge. (Assuming my guess of the role is correct)
