Attended my first interview yesterday for the first time in a while for an assistant accountant role for a small firm. Now, i just wanted to get some more feedback on the answers you would give for these questions:

1) What attracted you to the role?
2) When was the last time you felt a job was impossible to do?
3) 3 Main factors you want this role?
4) Why the move from public to management accountant

I think i answered these quite well but i also wanted to see how other people would answer these kinda questions.

1) What attracted you to the role?

I've always had a strong interest in accounting and the reputation of the company attracted me to the position.

2) When was the last time you felt a job was impossible to do?

When I tried to have a tommy tank with my left hand.

Never, I always strive to overcome and solve problems in a persistent and relentless manner.

3) 3 Main factors you want this role?

Career advancement
Personal development
Relevant experience

4) Why the move from public to management accountant

I know nothing about accounting so don't really know what to say here. (I wouldn't of said that though lol)

what about the other questions they could ask such as:-

what motivates you?

what are your strengths and weaknesses? I always say my weakness is that Im a perfectionist, I cross all the T's and dot all the I's which makes me highly compliant :)

also

how do you handle criticism?

The recruitment agency told me to answer a question like:-

give me an example of how you prioritised your workload? to which I replied I started with the task that took most time and worked down the list....she said I should also add I set alarms and alerts in Outlook, I was kinda stuffed by what she said, dont know if thats true?

good luck anyway

I know the question say what YOU want but this answer is me, me and me.. You could answer.. (top of my head...)

I feel I could really contribute to the dapartment in this role.
Both I and my colleagues can benefit from our mixed experiences
I would like to progress in a team that's professional and dynamic.
