Had my contract terminated 2 month's or so ago due to problem with character references, my previous place refused too give me a reference. I was asked too leave within 20 mins of giving my notice (they sent me home) and when asked on the 5th day of serving my garden leave/notice period would I be willing to stay a month to help train someone/people to take over my role, I said no. The company and project has some what fallen and failed. I check there FaceBook/Twitter for the installs and see they haven't done more than 2 from when I left.
I came home joined every agency going, tweaked the CV, signed on and along with this did lots of DIY, drank tea, saw my mum lots more, long walks with the dog and grew a beard and took the youngest one to and from school daily (yummy mummy's galore)
Nothing came of the agency's, it's pants to be frank. I found a job online and okay it's back in retail but not so much, more a trade. People will come and get what they want because they know what they want. Anyway I applied on line and had a call yesterday salvo for a series of questions aka phone interview. Wasn't the best as my signal at home is really bad so I offered to call them back off the house phone.
At the end of the call I got the normal blah blah have too process the other applicants and will be in touch. I didn't expect much from this to be honest.
Today I got a call asking me for an interview, RESULT.
Oh the job is a Customer Service Supervisor.
So off to grab my best office/interview shirt, matching tie and trouser wash and iron them
I'm keeping the beard but trimming it. If I'm offered the job will remove it. It's become a bit of pride now.
