Interesting stuff! I do wonder what the new fan design that was hinted at will be like, the noctua fans i've had before were top notch.

That's a nice little interview there, it's great to see that you're developing the content for the site like this. Just a minor thing perhaps but have you thought about making the pictures into links to the article too? It just seems rather more intuitive to me than clicking the text but maybe it isn't an option you want.

Which one's you got? I've still got the U12F - same as in your sig and its still giving solid performance a good 2-3 years on. Brilliant cooler!

Noctua's heatsinks are very good but motor in P12 I've got with NH-U12P has horribly strong "steps" making whole fan one vibrating roller so I wouldn't exactly keep that as sign of good fan.
Also while S12 is good fan it isn't anything new.

I tend to recommend I know those noctuas anc I can't wait till I get my own for my next rig. It's such a beast!!

I would suggest that is likely to be faulty. I have had over 7 of these and know many who use them and no problems like you describe! The S12 is well known for being whisper quiet and building on that as a foundation is promising.
