Interviews with Tonsilitus?

Just been passed up for a job based on a Telephone interview. When I asked why I was told that I was a bit too short on answers. I lost my voice halfway through! Damn this tonsilitus, anyone else been passed up for a job because of illness circumstances?

No. If I was ill and couldn't complete the task to the best of my ability I would tell them so and try and rearrange it. How come you didn't?

Was going to make a joke about premature ejaculation being my illness and a hot interviewer setting it off but I've only ever had 1 interview and it was from a guy...

I tried to, but they needed everyone interviewed and shortlisted within the week. I got the short straw

This was the first time I have seen tonsillitis on paper, I was trying to read it in my head and took me a good few seconds to realize what you were talking about.
