hi all.
I was wondering if i could mod a water cooling system to add a couple extra feet hose feed it in a mini fridge (through glands) on the outtake of the cpu so it cools it down a little before returning out the mini fridge and into the radiator.

Would this work for extra cooling?

Call me crazy if you will but i have a mini fridge sat around and its never going to be used ever!!!!!!!! so was wondering if anyone has seen or heard of this before and i could keep a couple bears in it when im gaming too. double bonus!

I wouldn't recommend it tbh

fridges cool below ambient, so any tubes running through it might drip moisture through onto your computer parts and pop!

I understand that but it wouldnt drip through proper industrial glanding. I have good electrical glands and good seals at work i can rob. i mean use

but if its say 48degrees coming out cpu then into 2 coils in mini fridge its only going to get to ambient temp not really going to cool it to 5 degrees in that time is it? theyre not that strong the fridges

regardless of moisture or not, there is simply no point in even trying, if you want your machine to run that cool, don't water loop, buy a decent mid to top end waterchiller and go that way :)

but they are expensive arent they. this is sat around the house probably going to the tip when i can be arsed

Do it for the project value :) It might knock some degrees off and it might kill your fridge but it'll be fun :D

I think it will be a good project. definately kill my fridge sooner rather than later but hey its useless as it is. if it works i will take pictures and post on here. never know it might drop cpu by 5-10 degrees which means higher O/C
