We're pleased to introduce a new brand to OcUK - Kolink. Kolink aim to offer a range of products that are feature rich yet affordable. We are launching a range of cases and 80+ Bronze certified power supplies initially. The cases offer a range of features usually found on more expensive cases. Highlights include the Victory, offering an attractive brushed aluminium effect front bezel, with a 12cm Blue LED fan and USB3.0 included as standard, the Octagon with 3 included fans (2 x 12cm Blue LED), card reader, fan control, USB3.0, side window and the Aviator, available in 3 colours to suit your preference.

Added to this we have introduced 3 power supplies from Kolink, ranging from 400W to 600W, all officially 80+ Bronze Certified, meeting the EU regulations for efficiency of all units sold within the european union. These units are solidly made and come with at least 1 6+2 PCI-E connector (2 on the 500W/600W units) to power the latest graphics cards.

The Victory, KLM-001, Octagon and Deathclaw are currently in stock, along with the 3 PSU models. The Aviator and Satellite will be in stock early November.

As this isn't my product category, I feel like I can give an opinion. The cases in this range are absolutely brilliant for the money. I would go as far to say, unbeatable for the money.

The featuresets they have punch well above their weight and the finish of even the lowest price point product looks much more high end in person than the pictures suggest.

When Chug showed me these originally and asked me to guess the retail price of every unit, I was £10-£15 out on each guess and even then I was being conservative.

If you are looking for a case to present a custom build in for family or even just want a cheap option yourself that has a high end set of features, the Kolink range really does beat expectations.

Why do their micro cases look quite nice, yet their midi cases look like they were designed by children. :/

The aviator cases actually look pretty swish, The fronts are so clean, Kind of reminds me of a visor design :)

have to say me and the boys in the office really like these, the white, black and blue one is nice. the cube though is awful!

and here you have proof, if any was needed, that no product category is more subjective than cases.

Well *Silent* was talking about the micro-atx case which does in all fairness look like a pile of tripe :p

The Kolink Octagon Mid case looks like it has the same exact front plastic molding as the Corsair 780T, Same factory perhaps ?

Personally I rather liked the look of the Satellite Micro-ATX Cube Case, and was alsmost prompted to order one immediately... until I saw that they were on pre-order!

I then went back to the top of the first post which told me that they should be available in early November... at the same price, I presume?

Out of interest what is it that some folk don't like about the little cube case, which take me back to my old 'Shuttle' days, as I thought it looks quite a neat piece of kit?

The price will remain the same :) ETA is in the hands of the transport gods though, so subject to change.

the cube though is awful!

whilst I wont comment on the way it looks as has already been said, that is totally subjective.

but the features of the cube is actually what really sets it apart. it is close in spec to a lot of similar size Silverstone cases for a third of the money. Whilst build quality is perhaps not as precise and premium as a silverstone chassis, for people looking for a small form factor build for media boxes, lan gaming systems or home servers, sub £30 is a hell of a price point to be at with that spec list.

There was indeed a gap in the budget small-form factor micro-ATX case range, to go with the cheapest motherboards (typically micro-ATX) in budget builds. That Satellite looks like it could fill it.

What I'd be interested in is knowing:

ATX PSU up to and even Micro-ATX boards up to 22.6cm x 18cm.

Seems to be a number missing after "to". Would it be the usual 150mm depth?

Will it not take all micro-ATX boards? i.e. Does the specific size of the board need checking first, instead of just the size format, or are these numbers just thrown in to confuse people like me? :)

Good spot, it's 220mm with a VGA card under 190mm, 140mm without. Generally the Satellite will take the majority of Micro-ATX boards but inevitably with it being a small chassis there may be some strangely sized boards that won't fit.

Cheers for the info. That's fair enough. Guessing it would just be really bad luck if one bought a board that didn't fit, then.
