i did all the test fitting, its a lovely case.

the powercolor card fits, but you cant use a full size hdd at the same time

thats why we use a laptop hdd in the build. you could also use a ssd

or even mount a hdd in the top bay instead of using an optical.

Damn that last system is a beast! So much power shoved into such a small cube?! Wish i had the money tbh.

Or, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-205-LL ;)

I'm planning on doing simular myself using a zotac board/c2d, as the current case I have is too cramped to work in otherwise. But after seeing this, I was thinking of scrapping that idea and getting a quote for a patriot SSD and a 1TB disk + the above mentioned + slimline drive...

well spotted that man!

we may have to reconfigure the system.

im thinking about one for myself at the moment with a cutout in the top for a H50/black ice and a nice SSD. braided cables etc.

there was a watercooled Q07 build somewhere here, he was using a PicoPSU, I'm sure that a Pico probably wouldn't suffice any machine which you'd want to have, but still it looked pretty neat, apart from the lights\colour scheme.

I'm not convinced that your Quantum Shockwave system will last long term. Two incredibly hot things in there, and not a huge amount of airflow. I'd be worried...

(I think my set up, which is remarkably similar, though with a 5850 and Phenom II 955 - I'm not made of money - caused the death of my 5850, which runs cooler than the 5870...)

How are you cooling the 5870 because if you look at marvins project shrink ray he used a very similar setup and his 5850 was hitting 90c in that case.

If I was considering a replacement system I would probably buy the Quantum Shadow for a fuss free experience. Although I'd prefer different brands of components, and maybe a 3rd CPU cooler instead that self assembly offers.

Would it be feasible to offer the whole colour range of cases, with the additional four colours ordered as needed? As I doubt there's much point stocking them and being lumbered with gold and blue chassis if they don't sell well.

I was running a similar system to the shockwave (but with 920 and 5850) and had to fit extra fans at 3.6 will be interesting to see an 8 hr prime with this, mine was hitting 80C before i modded the case, using the same pump, block and RAD.
Looks good though :)

i take it you are using the Rampage Gene 2 or 3...hehe keep an eye on the NB temps.

edit...and pics or it didn't happen .

Oh Hey Guys...

Heres NathWraith getting served on BC2 using the 'Quantum Shadow'
on a 1920X1200 Monitor
high detail level
high texture quality
high shadow quality
high effects quality
4X MSAA
8X AF
VSYNC on

35-40FPS - not bad. even better performance when we played on a 1680X1050 monitor :)

heres some pics of my build too :)

Please post some temps of the last system running some stress testing and benches. Iv used the V350 in the past and the air flow is really bad with a big rad stuck in the front. I cant see you will have any temperature headroom to allow much overclocking. If im wrong then fair play to you :)

we are still waiting for the final board to do a proper run. our testing was done on the rampage gene. ;)
