Inverting video

If I have a video that appears to be completely inverted, as in if I take a screenshot of it, and paste into photoshop and chose invert it turns to the correct colours etc.
Anyone know of a method or piece of software capable of inverting the entire video to make it colour correct again?

There are filters for Virtualdub that will do this.
