Humane trap with chocolate in it. They love chocolate.

What's a humane trap?
One that snaps their neck so fast they don't feel it?

I used chocolate, two kills thus far, nothing triggered since, no more noises.

Your mice might be field mice coming in for the winter, & not a house mouse.

Better to use a normal trap & kill the buggers.

I have seen mice chew holes in a plastic humane trap, just to get the choccy.

Ah, interesting, I'd never thought of actually letting them go.
Don't see what that would achieve, they'd come back, or annoy someone else, or be cat food.
Better to die swiftly via broken neck.

I always kill house mice, but field mice I like to release them, they only come in for the winter.

Easy to tell the difference, colouring, bigger eyes & field mice have longer tails.

Well i had one dark grey, one quite light grey as per the kills.
