Due to a tremendous response from our fans, the Xbox Preview program has reached a near capacity level. With that in mind, we are slowing the number of new people we are accepting to optimize for testing. We are thankful for the amount of interest we’ve received to date and look forward to sharing more details on preview opportunities soon.

Had to reset console to factory defaults as the new update killed it and wouldn't install

If you were on the programme, you'll still be able to download the app, look under Games and Apps, scroll to the right and it should be there under "Apps"?

The preview is not app based, it's register based. Registered, means every console you log into can potentially be made preview via the app.
