Apple to release iOS 4.3.2 in the next two weeks

We’ve just been told by one of our Apple ninjas that the company is working on another iOS 4.3.x release: iOS 4.3.2. It’s said to include a few enhancements, address security issues, and it will also fix several bugs that have affected users. We’re told to expect the software update for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad in about two weeks.

Hopefully this will finally fix the lag issues on the iPhone 4. The last update made them SLIGHTLY better but the phone still isn't running like it used to. That said, it isn't really a problem but it would be better if it was smooth.

It will also no doubt mess up the Jailbreaks people have just done :p

Fingers crossed it helps the battery issue.
My girlfriends 3gs battery has been running down in no time on 4.3.1, but my ip4 is alright, no major issues.

Guess the JB's will have to find a new way around ;)

Apple could just let people Jailbreak their phones, but warn them that if they do, all warranty will be void and they will not be eligible for any support from Apple whatsoever.

Obviously Apple would need to be able to track this so they can see if a JB has been done (with a watermark), but they could sort that out in a later firmware.

It wont happen but it would be interesting if it did, would people still Jailbreak then?

Jailbreaking isn't secure anyway that's why Apple don't want it to happen. It's the same as Sony, Microsoft, Sun, Adobe e.t.c don't want their tools hacked into. Pretty much logic to me.

Apple is the ultimate advocate of consumer safety enforced by a walled garden.

They will never let it happen, because while its still forbidden and risky its still the mainstay of the techies like us.

The day that apple condone it and specifically make allowances for it in the firmware is the day that it could end up with the average userbase, the sort of person who would have no idea how to recover a failed jailbreak.

Possibly could do a open firmware, where there is no warrenty on the device if it's put on. As someone said a watermark could be used to say if that specific firmware was installed.

Or just deliberately leave a new exploit in every firmware release and leak the information :D

It will never happen, but at least would please both parties to an extent.

i think the status quo works for apple.

It keeps a whole userbase of tech savy users happy who would otherwise defect to android

and it keeps its content publishers happy that they are fighting piracy.
