iOS 8.1.1 out (now 8.1.2)

Did this update turn off our alarms? I'm sure I didn't turn mine off yesterday and I near slept in for work. Anyway web browsing on my iPad 3 is faster.

iPad 2 the same since upgrading, so all good here. Hopefully the bug where I couldn't press links in Safari without scrolling slightly first is fixed.

Tinfoil hat on here, but I can't help but wonder if Apple purposely release a buggy yet vulnerable to Jailbreak release so people are forced to upgrade to fix to the patched version thusly leaving the exploit in the past.

Incredibly far fetched, but nothing surprises me from a company that disables features on identical hardware purely based on year of production. Mac Mini 2011/2012 Handoff support rage. :D

Good link, I think I may leave the 4S on 7.1.2 for now and see if 8.2 makes any more changes.

I'm going to keep my iPad 2 on 7.1.2 for as long as possible. I reckon we'll have at least 2 years before most apps start to require iOS 8.

Ok so is it possible to roll back to the previous version of iOS? There's quite a few things I like about 8.1.1 but the 5s was definitely faster on 7.whatever. Particularly the delay on all the web loading things.

Only upto about a week after the latest version is released then Apple stops signing the non-current version of iOS so makes anything but the current version impossible to install.
