I see Cisco have finally coughed up a major IOS revision for all the newest kit, complete with some painful requirements in terms of RAM and flash if you're running something like an 1841...

Does beg the question what happened to v13 and v14 though...

Does the 877 count as 'new'?

*edit* wooo! it does!

I've actually discovered the whereabout of the missing versions now (well, according to someone I know) - 13 is unlucky here and 14 is unlucky in the far east - I find that a very un-cisco like reason but who knows...

Quite a lot of vendors do this though don't they?

Ooh, they released it for the 877. Awesome, mine is fully RAM'd.

Shame it isn't available for my 2651XM :(

Updating an 877 now,

'Due to a significant decrease in AppleTalk usage and demand among its customer base, and given the fact that Apple now fully supports the TCP/IP family of protocols, Cisco has reached the decision to discontinue AppleTalk support in Cisco IOS releases 15.0(1)M and later releases.'

Woo, one less item cluttering the cli :P

Other than that, has anyone seen anything in the features list that has made them go 'Damn, we have been needing/wanting that'? :P

Edit: Can possibly see "4.5 Performance Routing (PfR) Protocol Independent Route Control (PIRO)" being useful.
