well no, because laptops (like a macbook with logic on it).

using a crappy app to get your 'ideas' down is a *******s reason quite frankly. the majority of people who buy those apps are the ones who think they're well good at music innit.

people who take it seriously use their ACTUAL tools, not mickey mouse ones.

Toys out of the pram because someone does things differently to you, nice.

Having been given an iPad for work (never having owned an IOS device before) I was quite surprised how hard it was to find some apps. I think Instagram was one for example.

Also, I understand there are lots of apps made specifically for iPads, but if there isn't one, they really don't scale well at all. The benefit of Android apps, they need to be written so they will scale to different screen sizes and resolutions. Now the 6 Plus came out, I noticed lots of people moaning about how apps looked on a large screen. With Android, most apps scaled reasonably well.

Also, and it may simply be I'm doing it wrong, but finding apps online (on my PC browser) seemed quite hard. **EDIT** Trying again now, I seem to be able to find things, is it possible to install from the browser like GPS?

Unfair poll, also post it in Apple subforum to balance the scales without bias ;)

:D

As a developer, iOS gives you way more tools to make an app look and feel polished. We often have conversations at work about how close we can get the Android version to the iOS version in terms of smoothness. We like to push the boundaries of what's possible and more is possible on iOS.

If you open the App Store app and type in the name of the app you want it will come up. Instagram for example comes up as the first app on the list. You can also type it into the web browser and without even pressing enter it comes up with the app, if you press enter it will do a web search and bring up the website which when clicked gives you a page with a link to the app.

Lack of remote app installation is a PITA.
