IP address

Hi there,
I am trying to play SWAT 4 via the internet with a friend.
We seem to have problems finding the games we each host, so have decided to connect via direct IP.
How does one go about finding there IP address especially the numbers after the colon (i think it is the port number, but really sure)?

Any help would be much appreciated.

You shouldn't need to worry about the port number, SWAT should handle that. Although, if you are both behind routers you may need to look into port forwarding in the routers options.
