That's if its a VAC ban, and it bans you from all games that use the same engine and are a VAC secured server. By the sounds of what the OP is talking about, it doesn't sound like a VAC ban.

all 6 rooms are hosted from the same person, ihave nothing linked to me to be apart from my ip? i could reinstalll the game but seeing as i dont even use a cd key, would it make a difference?

as for your post Rvan , no i dont have a router, just a modem but can get hold of a netgear router if needed

Why do you want to rejoin the servers anyway? If you get banned for cheating (even if you don't cheat) do you really want to return to servers where you will most likely just get banned again? If you really don't cheat then the servers sound like they are run by childish admins, just find a new server and play there.

thing is, thats were every one plays, there is many cheaters, sometimes using other players names. amd if you dont have a name the server gives you one like , vogan 1 , vogan 2 ect ect.... if i was there as vogan 4 for example then a cheat comes in as a leave and he then gets vogan 4 and then cheats they'll probaly ban us both

ethernet cable direct into motherboard , i did read some were even if i have a router that i am still using the same moden so ill be stuck with the same ip no matter what i do as i can't change my moden ip???

ive tryed loads of different ways now, yes it says its changed but as soon as i go to a findmyip website it shows the same ip as before

You need to change your Ethernet Adaptor's MAC Address, once you have done this, you will loose interent. You then need to restart your modem.

If you don't loose internet, then your MAC hasnt changed and you need to try changing it again.

To see if its changed, type ipconfig/all into command prompt and should see the "Physical Address" has changed.

/fail.

leave your cable modem off for 24h and you might get assigned a new IP next time it connects.

only just noticedits a modem/router in one,now when i log into my router online with virgin is there any way to change my ip address there?

No way to change the external IP of the virgin hub/Super Hub

When i upgraded to 50mb (from modem to superhub) my external Ip stayed the samei know they are not static but they seem very sticky

if it is a superhub, you could always get the latest firmware (which it should get itself when rebooted), and turn on modem only mode, that way changing your own MAC address will actually do something. Then again this is a lot of effort to go through just to join some servers where you will be banned again.

If it is a modem/router then you can't change your IP without a lot of fussing about with settings
