Ip config from a file possible ??

Hi,

I backed up a server using Ghost so can now see all the files. Gone a bit to far to restore the image but forgot to make note of the network ip addresses and stuff.

Know normally I can get to it via registry but how can I get to it via normal files ?

would the ntuser.dat or something be there ??

According to Wiki of all places the Windows registry is kept in a number of files:

If you can get at them using Ghost's image browser perhaps you can read them in some way?

You can load the registry hive by going to file/load hive in windows registry editor.

If you're also running DNS or WINS why not just have a lookie there? Unless off course they were running on the server you've just ghosted

Another option is try and ping the server from a machine that recently talked to this server as the details might be in the cache.

thanks but needed to know the ip details of the iscsi device which i had no idea about and there was no documentation anywhere
