Vdrop
Vdrop is the difference between the selected voltage in the BIOS and the actual idle voltage, typically this is about 0.05V though new P35 boards seem to be a lot less affected by it. THIS IS NOT Vdroop

Been testing PC and have found that I couldn't run Q6600 at 3GHZ with a lower Vcore than 1.405V. I then looked at CPU-Z to find it saying my Vcore was 1.376....

1) Is this a Vdrop/Vdroop, and is it a big one?

2) Is there any benefit in trying to lower it?

As far as I know, CPU-Z isn't (or any software) isn't reliable for voltage readings. You need to get yourself a digital multi meter and check the vcore yourself.

As for Vdrop, I always thought it kicks in when load is on the cpu, however im not 100% on that so I'd wait for someone else to either confirm it or give the proper definition.

It doesn't seem to have an impact on anything from what I can see. I'm most likely just fiddling...
