iPad 2 case - Check this out.

In case anyone is looking for an alternative to the Apple Smart cover but WANTS a smart cover....and remember the Dodo case?

Well, after the Dodo came out, I noticed these guys made a similar case, but this time round they took it further....if I get the iPad 2, I wouldn't get the Smart Cover but one of these instead!

It shouldn't cost that much more than the Leather version of the smart cover, even after del and tax. Plus it covers the back!

It looks nice but I don't like covering my gadgets when in use. Unless I come across a case that gives me a wow factor I'll probably stick to my plan of using a sleeve to protect it when not in use.

Out of all the cases, my Dodocase gives the most Wow Factor (actually, my Twelve South Case too but i dont use that).

I've got a smart cover, I'll probably fit a Zagg to the back but I'm also going to pick up a good leather folio case of the same style as the one I had on the original iPad.

zagg covers have high friction, if you coat the back, it may be difficult to get it in a nd out of a leather case

I have one on my ip4 and cant say a bad word against it!

On the subject of cases (and saving me starting a fresh thread), any other case recommendations?

I've ordered a Belkin Pleated Sleeve to keep my iPad in while I travel but at this time don't plan on using anything else.

Any more case recommendations guys for iPad 2.ideally one that does the whole stand thing too.can't justify the price of smart cover especially when it doesn't cover the back

It's not out yet. I'm looking at getting one of those or a nice leather folio case like the dodo case for now though I ordered a cheap gel case from the bay of flea's for £5.

Have a look at the Macally BOOKSTAND-cover for the iPad 2. My friend has the iPad 1 version and it's very good quality.

The price of the smart covers are a bit too steep for what they are. On the launch day I asked an apple worker why the official apple smart cover doesn't cover the back, he said the back is scratch resistant. I've been using the iPad2 without a case since Friday and there's no marks on it yet...not sure how long that would last though, plus I've been super careful about where I put the iPad down.

I'm willing to bet it isn't scratch resistant in real world use, no way.
