Hi guys,
I am new to Apple and am wondering if the is a possibility. My aim is to synchronise my wife's business calendars on outlook express, without the use of a Microsoft exchange server, as we use Gmail as our primary mail service (Small business).
Firstly I want to buy an Ipad 2, install outlook express on both PC's, log both machines into the Gmail server so that as emails come through they are downloaded to both machines, create the same folders (Copy the PST file from one to another) so that the content on both is identical and install itunes on both machines. Once I have done this, I am at a stage where, although the emails will come into both machines via outlook, when they are organised into relevant folders and and calendar events created, they will need to be identically duplicated on both machines for continuity.
If I synchronise the Ipad on one machine, and then synchronise it later on the other machine, will both the outlook accounts be updated, or will it just be the data on the ipad that is updated? In addition will the synchronisation of the ipad on two different machines simply add the data to the ipad or will it overwrite existing data?
Sorry for the long winded question, which in all likelihood is utter nonsense, but I am finding it difficult to find a long term solution for her organisation problems.
Cheers
Lee
P.S if this is better suited in a different forum could a Don please move? cheers
