iPad 3 charging??

Back when I had a Nokia n95 8gb if I was downloading podcasts and had push email running it would consume battery power faster than the mains could charge it, now that was rubbish.

That's a myth. Those apps aren't running - they may have a frozen state stored, or have very light background processes going on, but don't go thinking your iPhone or iPad is 'running' 40 apps at once, it most certainly isn't.

My board charges the battery when in use but that's one of the things I was looking for with my upgrade.

Best thing to do is to charge via ac. Always the best

Can I just ask. Should I let ipad battery run flat or keep it topped up? Haven't used it much today it is at 75% so what is best for the battery should I charge it tonight or leave it ?

My new iPad has always lasted as long as my original (i.e. a long time) but I'd never use just USB to charge it, simply not enough.

Keep it topped up, but cycle it from full to empty every couple of months or so.

Thanks for that was worried I would damage my battery if I discharged it to much. My kindle went flat and ever since the battery has only lasted half as long.
