They are, however I would be surprised if it’s anything other than a new Mini. I’m by no means making a statement but I just can’t see a refresh of the Air as it’s not even 1 year old and the Pro was only just released a couple of months back.

A refresh on the basic model would be good. More base storage, USB C port

Is there still a market for the iPad? The line up seems pretty stacked as it is. The mini needs updated if anything!

It’s difficult to see what they could do with an iPad refresh.
If they update the design language closer to the Air they’ll cannibalise the Air.
To keep the iPad in that budget region in the market they really can’t do much with it - IMO. They could probably stick the A14 (possibly A15) in the current chassis and call it a day. Maybe slim the bezels down a touch and move TouchID to the power button but I’d be surprised to see a laminated Retina display for example.

There's still a huge market for the iPad, I'm seeing more and more about and I think they're still generally accepted as the best tablets. That's not just me with my Apple hat on, look at any reviews and iPads still come out on top.

More base storage. Up from 32gb to 64gb. That is a must. 32gb is pathetic..

Very true, I just seen the price of them as well. That price point is perfect actually. Perfect for browsing and email.

Just picked up an iPad Air … doing that trade in deal that is doing the rounds. I had a 10 year old iPad 2 in my draw so I though why not. Already have like 4 other iPads in the household. However the form factor of this iPad Air is pretty good. Deffo prefer it over to my old 12.9 Pro and its a bit bigger than my mini 5.
