Ipad blanked out.

Sometimes my Ipad2 randomly blanks out when I'm on a page or if I click on something, the screen just goes blank and returns to the home screen.

This is particularly annoying if you're writing something and everything is lost.

I use Safari and google as a search engine.

I've reset it before by holding down the on off button. Any advice on what I can do or what's going wrong?

Do you mean, as an example, when you have safari open and your browsing for a bit then all of a sudden safari closes itself? If so then it's just the lack of ram, i get it sometimes on my ipad 4 aswell.

I've seen a few people with this issue, usually a factory reset will fix it. So do a backup of your ipad, factory reset it and restore from backup. It takes a bit of time, not much effort, but it may fix the issue.
