iPad does have limitations

As good at the iPad is and I suppose this issue goes for most tablets, what I find very limiting about them is something as simple as online ordering forms. The wife has been hogging our iMac for the last few nights and as I couldn't be bothered getting the Laptop out I thought I would do the online ordering on the iPad. I cannot believe how much you can miss a mouse and keyboard. By the time I had filled in my address and all the other details i.e. credit card numbers, expiry dates, and miss hit the radio buttons any number of times I was ready to scream (and my cup of teal had gone cold).

I'll stick to consuming media rather than doing anything productive on it from now on.

Always order on it , only issue is when safari doesn't work buttons/drop down menus properly, but that's the only odd occasions.

If you have LastPass, or 1Password they have built in browsers that can auto login and fill pre defined form fields (name, addr, tel, cc etc) for you ;)

Of course it has limitations. It's primarily a content consumption device... you certainly wouldn't want to write a novel or a thesis on it.

For basic text entry (e.g. online forms), though, it's absolutely fine. Somewhat slower than a normal keyboard due to lack of tactile feedback, but I can't say that accuracy is a big issue. The keys are fairly big in landscape mode.

It can be a bit fiddly to do online forms on I agree but it's not a deal breaker, maybe if I did them a bit more often.

I do online shopping/banking from my phone via Safari all the time, not an issue doing that and would imagine on a tablet it would be even easier

Have to agree, online banking and ordering stuff online all works spot on for me

I didn't say it didn't work, it was though a slow and laborious process when compared to using a keyboard and mouse. One of the forms in particular had numerous radio buttons which even when enlarged were not the easiest to select.

As 4t5 mentioned, you shoold get the hang of using tab/ shift + tab to move forward/ backward through form fields. Use space to select deselect radio and select buttons. Even with a mouse and hw keyboard this is much quicker and easier to use.
