Do you think the idea of a 7" iPad is a good one?

I know this is still at the rumour stage, but consistent leaks like this usually result in some kind of product.

Can't say I'm struck on the idea of a tiny version, maybe for games, but right now I'm finding the display on a normal iPad is a few inches too small for easy reading.

Personally say that it's exactly what is needed. I'm obviously familiar with the iPad interface but not with using the physical device so much; after holding a first-gen for a couple of minutes, I cannot imagine it being the best of bed-reading devices.

7" is the ideal size for me. Seriously considering a nexus atm as I don't see Apple doing this. But would switch from my iPad to a 7" iPad in a heartbeat.

I don't think it's a good idea really. I think most tablets at around 10" in size are too small. I could happily use a 15" tablet and would prefer it over a 10".

I don't have a tablet at the moment but I have used and tried out a few different ones. iPads aren't for me, I'm interested in ICS tablets but they're all "too" small.

I've got a laptop with a 15" screen which seems like the perfect size for what I'd use a tablet for, which would be to replace my old laptop really for things that didn't require extended typing sessions when I'm not on my desktop.

I think 12" is the sweet spot. I just don't get 7", I know there's one or two people who have massive pockets and happy to carry such a a 7" large item in them. But this is a massive exception. So assuming you have to carry a bag or just hold, what is the point of such a small device. I just don't get the appeal of that size at all.
For ereader it's different as 6" is around the same size as a paperback book.

it doesn't really matter what apple release, as long as it is usable and has the correct styling cues it will sell by the millions
