ipad o2 3G very slow to load pages

I just got an o2 sim for my ipad3 and noticed it takes ages for it to load a web page. I see o2 3G in the corner of the ipad so it must be connecting ok.
Is this normal?
I was told by o2 to use these settings:
APN - ibrowse.o2.co.uk username browse and password password

Hi, it was slow one night and slow the following night.
I will try that app.
I was beginning to think it was the wrong APN settings.

Definitely do a speedtest and see what kinda of speed you get from it, o2 could just be poor in your area
 
I dont have the ipad with me just now to do a speed test. My son has it, but i contacted o2 and was given new settings.
APN: idata.o2.co.uk
Username: Vertigo
Password: password

I put £10 some odd on the sim on Tuesday night, that i think, was 1GB of data.
It would just about load the web pages, it was so slow.
Wasn't used until last night and same again, far to slow. I sent my son the new settings and now he thinks it is out of data. Could the £10er be used already?? I thought 1GB of data would last longer than that!

Non iPhone contracts I use wap.o2.co.uk & mobile.o2.co.uk

In central London speeds are around 8mbps. Pages have a lag but don't take too long.
 
OK thanks, wonder why there are different APNs for the ipad??
What username and password are you using.
Use found out from o2 that there is 2030 MB of data remaining BTW

Still slow to open the web pages with the ipad3.
Cant understand it, we have iphones and blackberry's here at home and no problems at all. There must be a setting wrong on the ipad3 somewhere.
 
Going to bring my iPad to the o2 store and see what they can do, Has to be something simple,
