iPad screen issue

On my iPad I've noticed a mark towards the top of the screen which seems to be under the glass, affected by pressure. Unfortunately my iPad is about 3 weeks outside of the 1 year warranty, am I likely to have any luck if I take it into an apple store?

Give it a try taking it in, they will probably sort it for you for the sake of 3 weeks.

Went in today, 24days out of warranty, was promptly told I could either buy a replacement unit for £250 or get over it....

I don't know if it applies to your problem but your warranty is for 2 years.

No it isn't, I didn't pay for applecare

Nothing to do with apple care, the 2 years is the minimum under EU law which over rides the standard 1 year warranty.

I had a warranty replacement iPhone that's screen wouldn't work when it was cold, went to the store and they wouldn't do anything as it was outside the warranty. I rang up Apple technical support and gave them an ear full and 3 days later I had a brand new one arrive with courier taking the old one.

Aye but his problem wasn't apparent at delivery. The defect arose after so it's still only one year.
