Really want to go and buy (something) tomorrow

I have been wanting a tablet for months, I tried to read other threads but got conflicting views,

I want to edit very basic docs (ie edit an an invoice thats about it), email, remote control peoples computers (i know team viewer works on ipad).

I had decided on a transformer but some threads slated the quality.

I decided android maybe a transformer, but I set up two samsung galaxy s2's on friday and frankly they were crap compared to an iphone in terms of quality / feel / ease of use... i know thats not a tablet but if the transformer if going to compare to an ipad like a iphone compares to a s2 ill take the ipad...

anyone used both? what would you get?
 
Im in the same possition as you, unsure whether to go for the IPad or Transformer, i think that this video makes a good comparison of the two for you.

Im thinking that ill be choseing the Asus transformer based on the fact it has a microSD card slot on the tablet, and USB slots on the dock wich i think ill get as well, making it easier to get data onto the device.
 
transformer can do a lot more too like 1080p output via hdmi etc....
although one of those things, word is quadcore laptops end of the year but who knows for sure....
 
It looks to me like that there aren't that many apps out for Android Tablets yet, for example no SkyGo, but its available for the IPad. Is there a seperate online market for Tablet Apps for android, or can all phone apps work on them?
 
I was struggling with this choice too. In the end plumped for a refurbed ipad 1, with the view to flog it and get an ipad 3 when it eventually comes out. Supposedly the ipad 2 is really the "ipad 1s" as there really is v little change from the ipad 1. The ipad 3 is the one rumoured to have the usb, sd slots etc.

I was convinced i wanted the android Asus Transformer until I handled a couple in some stores, even ignoring the app availability drawback I found that the apple iOS interface was so much better/smoother and the ipads are much higher quality in terms of construction. The asus felt heavy in the hands even though I'm sure they are about the same weight!

I'm perhaps bias due to the fact that my usage will be 85% pdf and internet browsing. The slick ipad interface does make that a more pleasurable experience.
 
I'm a firm android fan (been using it from the very start with the G1) but I chose an iPad2 over the android tablets. It was the access to the app store that swung it in apples favor

+1 Love my Android phone but Apple have the tablet section sewn up at the moment.
