I bought a 4 camera cctv set with 1tb HD for my house. I set up the main unit on my local network in the shed. The cctv ip is 10.0.0.10. Which if I go to in internet explorer, it shows the cameras fine. But, no matter what I do, I can't get the cameras to show in apps. Like on android or the iphone. I've tried dozens of camera apps and all say they either can't connect or just say connecting. The phone is on the same network as the camera.
The info for the camera is, ip 10.0.0.10, media port 34567 and port 80
I try this info with various combinations in the apps and nothing. Any ideas?

is the mobile device attached to YOUR wireless or are you attached to the celular network?

if you are outside comming in you need to set up port forwarding on the router - or dynamic DNS on the cameras' control machine

still this post has got me interested in getting some....

whats the quality like and what was the cost?

I have seen some routers that have the option to stop wireless devices communicating with LAN devices..

can you web t the cameras from the phones? if the browsers dont support it have you tried some ping app to check they are pingable?

The camera cos about £250 ish, 4 wired, nightvision camera. With 1TB HD recorder. Motion sensor, alarms, all that jazz. It's not a brand name, at least there isnt one anywhere on the box, manual or device itself. But its pretty cool. You can even plug in a usb thumb drive and copy your recordings to that if you wish.

In regards to the network, because this box is pretty unbranded, when I connect via a web browser it only wants IE which is a problem for my mobile devices. Router is a Netgear WNR 2000

I managed to fix the issue now and its working around the house.
I have one final question which is beyond me. How do I access the network camera from anywhere in the world? I looked into it and I read that I need to sign up to dyndns at $20 a year, but I wasn't going to pay it until Im 100% sure its what I need. Any advice?
