iPhone 12 Accessories

Brave, I don't tend to use screen protectors on my phone to be fair, but always have used cases, but given the size of the main iPhone 12 thread I thought it would be good to get people to list and report back on what they have got and link to them on Amazon or wherever..

You that confident that it won't break?
I suppose I must be. I've never broken an iPhone screen or back yet in all the years I've had one.
The iPhone 11 screen was superb (as borne out by a poll on here), the 12 is even better. Yeah, I guess am confident.

I would prefer to go caseless and screen protectorless as well - but there seems to be quite a few people saying the screen is easy/easier to scratch this year. Will see, haven't had a screen protector before as I always hate the lip on the edges you get with them.

I won't be putting my phone in a case or fitting a screen protector.
I’m exactly the same. I don’t understand buying an expensive phone where part of the cost is in the look/design, then putting a **** case that cost £10 on it.

I don’t use AppleCare either, I like to live life on the edge. I’m wacky me.

I got a pack of £3 screen protectors from ebay - the film type, I'm not a fan of the tempered glass ones - along with a £3 TPU case. Seems a bit weird putting an expensive phone in such a cheap case, but it does the job for me. Nothing special at all but it's functional :) Screen protector isn't obvious in use really and it's slightly over to the left but it's on there without a single speck of dust so it'll do for now.

Is this true ? Can you point to the reports please. Interested as i was thinking of going without a screen protector this time. May not if this is true

Sorry not got anything to hand, just read a few comments saying they’ve already had small scratches or blemishes on the screen.

Recent iPhones have been easy to scratch as they seem to favour shatter resistance over scratch resistance.

All it would take is a grain of sand in your pocket to scratch a screen. Depends how bothered you are if it gets scratched whether it's worth having a screen protector on, the Spiegen tempered glass one is pretty decent for the sake of a few quid.

From memory MKBHD's review video of his week old iPhone 12 complains he's scratched it already.

I really fancy a Mous case for my mini. They have limitless or clarity, no contour unfortunately. The speckled fabric Limitless one has caught my eye. Anyone had a limitless case before? Or the speckled fabrixc, wondering what its like

Edit: Discount codes for Mous.

TREAT-CASES should give you 15% off all their cases according to their email. What you getting?

TREAT-WALLETS 20% off all wallets

TREAT-MOUNTS 25% off all mounts

These were emailed as part of their Halloween promotion and expire on the 31st

Scratch proof vs shatter proof makes sense to me, for it not to shatter it will need to give a little to distribute shock, to be scratch proof it needs to be tough, having one means losing the other, logical to me at least..

Are these Magsafe compatible or do we have to wait a while for third party Magsafe cases and accessories ?

Depends what you mean by "compatible". Seems most cases will actually work with MagSafe in that the magnetism works through the case, although weaker in strength, but actual magnets in the cases like the Apple ones are few and far between as of yet.
