My missus has an iPhone 12 Mini, with a physical sim, on a sim only contract.
Battery is very poor now, so I've bought her a 13 Mini - during the set up with the phones side by I did the number transfer from the iPhone 12 Sim to the 13 E-Sim - all good. Further through the set up the new phone locked up and just hung for over an hour.
Only solution was a hard reset on the new phone, set it up a second time, everything working and transferred over but no service.
With the physical sim in the old phone if I go to mobile data setting I get a message saying the number was successfully transferred to the iPhone 13, but there no service on either phone, I guess as the hard reset wiped the E-Sim settings I had transferred on the new phone which is understandable, but it looks like the process of moving it over from the old sim is a one time thing, the sim doesn't work in the new phone either.
I'm presume the sim is now borked and I just need to put a new sim in it? Will EE be able to retain her number?
I did exactly the same thing when I went from a 12 to 14 and it worked perfectly.
