iPhone 3gs crack on casing

I have heard that White iPhones are more likely to crack. Don't know how true this is.

You'd be more likely to notice it on a white one I think....

Had my genius bar appointment today. The chap went away and asked a manager who said because it was 240 days out of warranty he couldn't do anything. He said they normally only replace upto 45 days out of warranty for minor cracks or longer if more significant they would replace it.

Same thing happened in my case, they weren't interested because the phone was out of warranty. Understandable but would've thought that an exception could be made in these cases of known faults.

Go back and tell them its a inherent fault with the design and that the warranty is irrelevant. My friend's phones were months out of their warranty period. Read up on the SOGA.

Ive not been yet, the apple store in my town centre isnt a real one its a franchise!
