iPhone 4 found...

Hey all...
My friend found an iphone 4 last weekend. We live in Malta but the iphone is locked to some French network...So i'm assuming the person who lost it is a tourist and my friend want to unlock it and sell it...

I know you would say "Call the police or owner" but police won't give the %$#
and the sim card is locked so cant call the owner either...

Now its not my idea but she wants to sell it.
So If i Jailbreak it and unlock it, will the owner be able to track it or something like that?

What you are suggesting is illegal. Hand it in to the nearest Police station

Pretty sure it will have been reported lost and had a bar put on it already so you wont be able to use it even if its jailbroken.
