My brother has 2 mobile accounts so he recently upgraded to 2 x iPhone 4s. He's kept one but given me the other however mine is switching itself off then won't switch back on. It just seems to go into a coma and won't wake up. It eventually comes back to life after a while but it's getting really annoying.

How do I go about getting it replaced? Do I need to get him to contact Orange or go into the Apple store? As the phone is supposed to be on my brothers account will it make any difference?

Just book a Genius bar appointment at your local Apple store and take just the handset in. They won't care who or where you got it from as the warranty is with them, not Orange. If the item is deemed faulty they will replace it on the spot with either a refurb, or a brand new item - you won't be able to tell the difference as both will be immaculate and you won't leave with the box etc, just the handset. HTH

you will not believe how good the service is. I took my iPhone 4 that was scratched to hell already that had a dead pixel and it was replaced on the spot. Always get a genius bar appointment!

Well, after spending 45 minutes being patronised I'm going to disagree with you I'm afraid. The service was terrible. I sat and listened to 2 other "geniuses" tell customers complete rubbish. They basically fobbed off several customers during the time I was there.

In the end they couldn't resolve my problem nor could they replace the phone so they sent me back to Orange. I was fobbed off just like the rest of the custmoers there at the same time as me.

Awful service....

Why couldn't they replace the phone? Bullring store didn't require proof or purchase or details regarding carrier. My phone was faulty, they replaced it on the spot - didn't even need to ask!

Basically me and my brother have iPhone 4s and somehow we've managed to switch the sim card trays around. As the serial of the phone is on the card tray it's now showing that the phones are out of warranty on the Apple system (which obviously is impossible as the iPhone 4 isn't even old enough). Even though the serial on the phone is fine and matches our respective accounts and we obviously have the same surnames that isn't enough for Apple so they fobbed me off saying that I need to contact Orange because they can't/won't do anything.

Did you get your iPhone 4 replaced because of one dead pixel? Ive just found one on my iPhone and wasnt too sure what to do.
