iPhone 4 + Three = Missing APN settings??

Just unlocked my O2 iPhone (officially, through iTunes) and inserted a 3 SIM (£12 30-day SIM only).

Everything is working fine, but the "Mobile Data Network" setting under Network is now missing. I.e. I can't change the APN.

Is this normal for the 3 network, or any way I can make it reappear (without Jailbreaking).

The Personal Hotspot option has appeared though! (I thought it wasn't allowed on anything but the One plan??)

Thank you

Tethering is allowed AFAIK on all non-AYCE plans (IE: capped data plans), as well as the One plan. Certainly on SIM only plans, which don't quite run the same scheme as the normal phone ones.

Cool. I seem to have the latest 3 Carrier Settings (12.0), as I used iTunes to unlock my phone (from O2), as well as registering and Activating the handset with the 3 SIM.

Both the "Mobile Data Network" settings and "Enable 3G" slider are missing as part of this, but I shouldn't need to change them anyway... I was using the bypass APN on O2 to prevent the terrible 3G data compression, which isn't the case on 3. The switch-over seems to have gone well.

Cheers.

Enable 3G slider will not be available due to 3 being a 3G only network, you either have a 3G signal or you have no signal.
As for Mobile data network i think i do have that slider, i will check later when i check my phone.

Thats the settings i have.

@Danny091 - thanks, that's exactly what I have.

@Jay™ - not sure about Android phones, but for the iPhone it was

APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: bypass
Password: password

I think it's still working. I.e. data is not so compressed over 3G, but I think my settings reset some time ago during the last iPhone update.
