iPhone 5S rumours

As mentioned above... What would be increasing the resolution above the 'retina' resolution. They will have to be very careful at how they market it as surely they could fall foul of misleading customers surely? If they boasted that anything above retina was undistinguishable by the naked eye and then they tout this as being better and you can see the difference, I'd imagine a few law suits in the US.

However, if they increase the resolution to bring it in lien for all iOS devices then that could work. It seems likely they will do this as with it being unveiled at the developers conference, it would make it easier for developers etc...

RE: the cheaper iPhone. That will never happen in the 'developed world' as it would harm the sales of last gen iPhones, and current/last gen iPod Touches. However I'll eat my hat if they release it in the UK! haha :p

Well once the iPhone 5s comes out the iPhone 5 will need to be cheaper, imagine in 2 years when the iPhone 5 is on those cheaper £20 contracts and so on, I think that could really hurt Apples pockets too.

This model was great for things like the 3g/3gs as they where cheaper to produce and so on but I think their already feeling the sting from the 4/4s margins after the price drops.
 
As I've said in the WWDC thread... Rumours of coloured iPhones will prove correct as the new iOS lends itself better to a coloured chassis.
 
Debating whether to wait for the 5s, currently using a crap android phone and it is doing my head. Don't think I will be able to wait 3 months, will there be much of an upgrade with the new iphone??
 
You have to think though, if you do wait 3 months, and don't want to pick up the 5S, then the 5 will drop in price anyway
 
I hope they scrap the 5S and bring out the 6 instead.

The IP5 was a big disappointment in my eyes. 5S is not going to cut it if Apple want to stay on top and I reckon they will lose out big time.

They need a proper upgrade from the IP4/S with a decent sized screen of 4.8".
 
4.8"?! No chance.

The iPhone 5 is very much a 'proper upgrade' from the 4, slightly less when it comes to the 4S, but still rather notable.

Its a good upgrade even from the 4S, its a lot faster, smoother, screen is much better. I would really like a slightly bigger version thou 4.3".

Hmmm. I dunno about that. I spent a good half hour with my mates 5 in one hand and my jailbroken 4s in the other. I couldn't really tell any difference with speed or smoothness. The screen is just bigger, not that much better. And I much prefer the 4s form factor / chassis. It feels much more robust. Given the choice I'd rather have a 4s in my pocket. Which is good, cos I do :P.

Even if you subscribe to the notion that 5 > 4s, it would be hard to argue that the 5 > 4s like the 4 was to the 3gs.
