iPhone 6 Cases & Accessories

Has anyone received their Apple case yet?

I'm interested in the midnight blue or olive brown leather case for my 6 Plus. Wondering what the texture and feel is like, whether it's worth £39 or not.

Depending on which delivery agent Apple use to send it now it's local to me I may have it today or tomorrow. Went for the leather one for the 6 Plus.

I have had all kinds of cases for my phones and iPad.

From clear plastic to soft silicon to leather cases to bamboo with moleskin to plain bamboo to hard plastic to metal.

What I found is they all get scuffed.
They all get dust trapped behind them - having a clear one means you can see it all...
They all add bulk.

The best one seem to be just one that fits snug and hard simple plastic clip on.

That's why I use leather pouches.

They don't protect your phone from drops but they don't mark your phone and keep the screen protected in your pocket.

I was going to get a pouch (have traditionally always got them) but I keep reading that with the 6 Plus in particular, for the smaller-handed person it can help if you use something that gives some extra grip at the back. From playing around with a workmate's Note 3 and him replacing the back cover with a thicker, larger capacity battery, it was easier to get a more secure grip on the device.

Using some of the thinner cases wouldn't make the Plus any thicker than a naked 5S... so I'm tempted to look about for something classy that will be easy to grip. Also, I've read a couple of people say the 6/6 Plus rear's mark very easily.

haha, i tried them too but I found that I like to use the phone when I have it out of the pocket, not having to take it out of another pocket and having to deal with putting the pouch somewhere until I finish with the phone.

IMO hard plastic is the worst. They dont wear well and mostly end up damaging the phone. Best combination seems to be a TPU piece covering the phone with a hard plastic exoskeleton around it. (Switcheasy Tones for example).

Trick is to use your bathroom. Turn the shower on, high setting to create a lot of steam. Leave on for 5 minutes/until it is nice and steamy. Dust will be removed from the air by the water droplets in the air = a temporary clean room! Worked for me several times. :)

I have a screen cleaner spray and I just mist the screen lightly and use the liquid to help push out any bubbles or bits of dust. Would rather not put the phone in a really humid room and trip off the moisture sensors in the phone if I have to send it back.

So what's the solution? :p

My Apple Leather iPhone 6 Plus case arrived today.

Here are a few pictures vs the iPhone 5s case and an example of how it looks the way I hold the phone normally (resting on my pinky) and how I guess I will have to adjust to get a better reach with one hand.
My hand from wrist to middle finger tip is 8.5" if anyone wants to compare.

It was meant to be black but it is very very dark brown. In direct sunlight it looks pretty nice actually.

Ive got another week or so until my 6 arrives - think I'll hold off unless everyone else has had a bit of time with theirs.

Interested to see how the Spigen cases go down. They looks quite nice.

The brown Apple case is a much lighter colour than that I think. Someone at work has one for the 5S.

It is definitely the black one (says so on the box :p) just a slight brown tinge to it.
In person it looks fine, will take another picture when I have the phone in it.
