My iPhone 4, 5, iPad 2, 3 and Air, all got delivered on release when I preordered them.
I'm 100% sure I have this enabled on the Apple store App
.Roll on 8am! iPhone 6+ 64GB, still unsure on colour, someone make my mind up for me! My current iPhone 5s is white and all previous models since the 3 have been black, will be getting a leather case for it from the Apple store too afterwards, probably the dark blue!

I'm going for the black.
Previously, I found that fluff and dust would find it's way in to surround the home button, so I went white for the 5S, but the metal Touch ID ring around the new style home button has solved this problem.
The black looks sleek when turned off. The white is nice but you notice that LCD panel because of the polar opposite nature of the colour.

Only one problem, you have a Micro-SIM and you need a nano-SIM for the iPhone 6. So I would pop into the 3 store when you get your iPhone 6 and they will swap it for a nano-SIM at no charge and you can use that in your iPhone.
I am also on the The One Plan but as I have a nano-SIM in my iPhone 5 it will be a simple swap

You will need a new simcard I assume so just pop into a three store and pick one up. The iPhone uses nano sim and I don't think the Z1 does.
The iPhone 5s was bad thou, my friend pre ordered on the dot and had to wait almost 1 month for his phone.
I may try this, but instead of returning to Apple, I'd return the Apple one to the retail store I bought the first one from, that way, legally, Apple have to deal with me in the event of a warranty claim
I enabled it and tried buying an iPad air using the app, I'm not entirely certain that it worked and I didn't want to risk ending up with an iPad air. I didn't see any mention of express checkout in teh app though.
I just checked my receipt from last year, I preordered on the dot and it arrived some time between the 8th and 11th of October, so only a few days after store release.
It's taken a long time, but now I honestly think iTunes is the best. It's a little slow when starting up, but when you have an iOS device, I don't think the alternatives are any better at all.
