So the rMini is a bad experience? and if you read I said QHD is stupid, I'm just showing that there is benefit to going high resolutions.

There is a ceiling to resolution vs screen size (aka PPI) - the originally point was that the rumoured res of iPhone 6 was too low - I think we have more than covered that it is in fact not! ;)

According to Apple there is a ceiling, but if you look around others disagree.

Shall we place a bet, than in 5 years or less Apple with increase thier PPi significantly, and you'll be back here saying how great and innovative they are, not how they are copying the other phone companies.

Looks like things are pointing to a camera bump, personally couldn't care less its already sapphire glass so it should be safe. Others are up in arms.

I personally wish the new phone was thick enough so there was no camera bump and they gave us a bigger battery in the extra space. Not once have I ever wished that my current iphone was thinner but there have been plenty of times I wished the battery lasted longer.

Apple will only increase PPI if there is a tangible reason to do so - currently there is none - in 5 years who knows where screen technology will be?

Thinness starts to play a bigger part as the screen grows, the thinner the better. You only need to hold something like a Desire HD vs HTC ONE and the thinness of the one makes it much easier to hold even though it's bigger.

But no, because you've already stated that ''there is a ceiling to resolution vs screen size (aka PPI)'' So theres no reason to increase PPi as its already at its ceiling.

The camera bump and white lines on the back of the phone are terrible. I know it's not going to be case, but I wish this was some sort of stunt by Apple to throw us off the real design of the iPhone. Surely they have people out there monitoring social media/forums feeding back to designers about how ridiculous the design is.

No idea why they want to go thin, the 5 is thin enough as it is, I'd rather it was thicker than the 5 with a huge battery

Its called thinnovation, its just about specs for apple to put up on the slide, I can picture it clearly, a big slide with it stating how its X% thinner, and the thinnest smartphone or some other bs. Much rather get a nice sized battery in there and stick with the 5s thinness, no flagship is really thinner (expect the galaxy alpha but that has horrible specs and a very small battery).

The One is thicker then the 5s, the difference here is that the sides are thin and then it curves at the back, so it rests more natural in your hand.
