£699 for the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus isn't a bad price really, was expecting it to be at least another £100.

Happy with the design and everything, large screen iPhone is just what I wanted. Not 100% sure about the 5.5" one though, will need to try it first.

A lot of people in the hands-on's are saying it doesn't feel as massive as it looks, which is kind of annoying in a way. I just find phablets look a bit silly when people are making calls (although a lot of people use the headphones/mic), and if you use it for anything like running etc bigger = more cumbersome. Also as someone that wears size XS and has a sub <30" waist, it'll probably be poking out of my pockets.

6+ 16GB for me most likely, just about filled 16GB on the iphone 5 after 2 years so should be fine for me. Need extra battery life so has to be plus, should be better for netflix too :)

Do apple do cash back of any sorts? Possible to buy cheaper elsewhere rather than apple direct?

If be a little more happy at around £550 rather than £620..

Think I'm going with the iPhone 6 64GB in Grey.

One thing that is irking me: why is the front glass black and the back of the phone grey? Surely they should be the same.

The 3G and 3GS were black/white plastic and Apple have kept the front of the phones like this since then, even when they went glass-backed with the 4/4S and then metal with the 5/5S (the gold also uses white).

I personally like the black because when the screen is off it looks like a seamless slate, so have traditionally gone for black every time.

The back of the new iPhones looks ugly with those fat lines and the lens sticking out. I'll probably still get one but I think I prefer the look of my 5S.

But like the 4, 4s, 5 and 5s were black front and back, if you get me. The 6 is greyish on the back and black on the front.

Are you seriously suggesting the new hardware is going to use nearly double the energy?! Even though the processor is now even more energy efficient? Mental.

Anyone got idea of when they might arrive in stores? My upgrade is due so I fancy waiting for the 6 Plus to arrive.

I think the point is, there is now an option for people that require a very large battery capacity. Even the standard 6 is 1810mAh, which is an upgrade combined with a much more efficient chipset.

The size increase of the screen will gobble up a lot of the battery capacity increase, most of the time the CPU/GPU are idling and not using much power.

Some people are going to be pretty shocked when they realise just how big a phablet is for general day to day use. I would advise not buying online if you are considering and actually go into an Apple store so you can see the size difference between the 6 and 6+ for yourselves before ordering, especially if you are coming from a 5s.

This is Apple we are talking about. They have little care for customers outside the US, as the phones are designed for their country of origin. We have pants mobile data compared to the US.

It's not Apple, it's devices in general. As for rubbish mobile signal.. Hmm, have you actually been to the US?

+1

Anyone coming from an iPhone4/5 and buying an iPhone 6+ blind is going to be in for a shock.:D:D

I've said that several times here and somewhere else, i think a lot of people are getting new tech fever and not really thinking it though, the plus is a big device and will stick out the top of your pocket and make single hand typing with any speed and not have the phone fall out your hand very hard.

Went white for my 5s, each iPhone I've owned previously (since the 3) has been black!

Can not make my mind up between the colours for this one.

Indeed, it's an even bigger deal because the 5s would be classed as a "mini" device on Android. So it's the equivelant of going from something like the HTC One mini or Z1 compact to a freaking Note4... which is just an insane leap in size to make without properly thinking it through.

Not as interesting as iPhone 4 release, however when the time come to upgrade I will probably go for the iPhone 6 64GB.

The design looks more like the original iPhone with curved corners and flat back.

Everything announced today was pretty terrible. A mode specifically designed for reaching the UI elements at the top of the screen because it's too big to use with one hand otherwise, what a clownshow.

Welp, it was good while it lasted I guess.

Yea I'm gunna stick that Apple Watch up my ass and send my ass pulse to my boyfriend.

That's nice of you.

Ah yeah, I get you. I don't actually like the black bands on my 5S that much, not that I look at them.

I'd order both, have a play then return the one you don't want to keep - given the way they sell out, you could probably flog it for just as much if not more than you bought it for given there are always people who will pay absurd money rather than wait a few weeks.
