Also these leaks are 95%~ accurate, iPhone 5 was pretty point on, iPad Air, iPad Mini, rMini. The people making these leaks get parts form the production line, its pretty difficult for Apple to fake a production line of devices, not too mention expensive and stupid.

The Apple Watch won't be in mass production yet, I would expect a announcement + SDK drops then the product takes a few months before it comes out giving them time to produce it.

My 2 year old iPhone 5 is now close to unusable (home button is almost dead and it only manages to charge using the lightning cable I got with it if I wrap the cable around the body of the phone in order to find that exact sweet spot where the connector registers). It's become a bit of a farce now tbh. I spend close to 10 mins each evening messing around until I know it's charging. Just can't be bothered to get it repaired now.

Really need this upgrade but I hope those leaks aren't accurate. It's not a nice design imo. Be such a shame if this is what Apple has settled with. We'll soon see.

I've had the same problem charging my iPhone 5, the lightning port just needs a clean. Just be careful when you're removing any dust or dirt not to scratch any of the connectors.

I used a bent staple to get tons of pocket lint out of mine. Like mr.sly said, be very careful of the pins.

Anyone remember if you were able to pre order i4 or i5 from apple? I remember only allowing contracts within the first few months, hope that's not the case this time around.

Problem solved! Thanks for the tip. Can't believe I didn't think of this. It charges fine now (just a shame my lightning cable is now almost in two pieces as a result of weeks of harsh bending!).

This is why all phones need to at least be dust proof, pockets are full of lint and its not great for your headphones jack/charging ports.

I'm really hoping there will be the opportunity to pre-order. My gf has a major op on Sep 19th so I won't be able to go queue up in a store anywhere, but if I could pre-order I can get it shipped to my parents and pop over to collect it while she's in theatre :)

Can't wait to replace my launch day iPhone5. I've never owned a phone for this long before!!

If she really loves you she'd want you to be there, queuing up, being one of the first. Tell her she can play with it for at least 10 minutes a day and I'm sure that'll seal the deal.

If she's not understanding about this, then she's not the one anyway. Time to move on.

Lol if only it were that easy :)

Does the charging adapter go completely in so it sits flush with the phone? This sounds very similar to problems I and several colleagues have experienced and you just simply need to clean flint/bits of dirt out of the charging socket with a paper clip or similar.

Not suggesting don't upgrade but it might make your life a bit easier until you do
