Considering doing the same. I can get the HTC for about £32 a month which is a big difference over two years. Just trying to convince myself that I can live with android!

That's it indeed. The HTC will be enough for me. So I think I managed £30.99 tariff from EE, with a small £49 fee. Big big difference from Apple prices.

Such a shame though as I really think the iPhone looks better, and iOS rocks. :(

So when it said my delivery would be on the 19th but theres a 2-7 day despatch time. Does that mean it won't come on the 19th? Havent received a "preparing to despatch" email either. :S

This is the best deal I think that is out there:
Unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 4GB data, £39.99 upfront cost for £39 a month http://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/contract_deal/2616351?page=/mobiles/deals/apple_iphone_6_16gb_silver/

EE seem to be doing the best deals annoyingly, O2 are certainly more expensive than most :/

Anyone planning on queuing at the bullring ? This will be my first time queuing so i'd appreciate some advice about parking/where to go & what time etc.

Depends on the store location I guess. I don't know about the 5s launch but during the 5 launch the queue at the Bull Ring apple store in Birmingham was over 30 people with 40 odd hours to go, which was quite insane to see really, although being -indoors- makes sleeping overnight for a few days not quite so bad.

-edit-
Ordered a 16gb silver six plus on three, only 2gb data but I'm lucky enough to have wifi at home, work and all the family's places so shouldn't be too bad. I've never put the phone on wifi before and was using 4gb a month roughly so should get it right down by hopping onto everyones network :p
Only need 16gb, would rather pay apple some ££ per month for more iCloud storage since I can add all my photo's from my DSLR collection into iPhoto and have them accessible on my phone/tablet too.

You can park at the Bullring, right underneath, the directions is at their website. There are a couple of car parks around the area which is cheaper as well if you get lost but in the area, and see a Parking sign, just park up and walk to the Bullring. Being so big you won't miss it.

On launch day the apple store put out some queueing handrails for people to wait. If you are there to get a launch product, that's where you wait. The queue however are normally gone after a couple of hours.

Queue for a FEW DAYS ? Are you serious ?

I really don't understand the people who queue, do they just enjoy it or something? Why not just order online or at least reserve one for collection.
Random queuing with a chance of missing out just seems nuts when it costs the same online.

Its just getting hammered. I managed to get on 10 mins ago and cancel my order (as i have reserved one to pickup on 19th)

I have one order online, but saying delivery: 29 Sep, 2014 - 02 Oct, I have also reserved one to pick up on the 19th, I don't want to cancel the online order yet just incase the delivery date changes. But when is my last safe moment to cancel before getting charged, do you think can cancel on the day when i have picked the reserved one up?

There is no way i'd queue for a few days to get a phone. I think the earliest i'd do is midnight or something. But if i'm standing there for 8 hours only to be told that they've sold out i'd be annoyed as hell.

I suppose people are willing to queue because at the moment the delivery time on the 6+ is 3-4 weeks.

Yeah but that is the thing, they are crazy enough to queue because they need one so badly but too lazy to get up and order one online like the rest of us did this morning!
Sure there was a slight delay but when it started working at about 8:20 everyone appeared to get their orders in on here no problem.

Longest I ever queued for something was 3 hours but that was to get into a country :p

I personally am waiting for some money to go into my account which is why i didn't order one online this morning. Hopefully either tomorrow or Monday i'll be ready :)

So i'll have a choice of either ordering online and waiting a month or queuing for a stupid amount of time. Decisions Decisions

Thing is, if i queue i want to know for sure that i'll get one when i reach the front of the queue. I don't want to queue for nothing.

I think they let people at the back of the queue know they aren't guaranteed one. They count how many are in the queue.

The problem is they might not have stock of the colour or the storage space you want even if you aren't beyond this point in the queue.

Ah well at least you have a good excuse!

I would still order one online before queuing just in case you miss out at least you have a slot that you could cancel if you luck out at the retail store.

Finally ordered with Vodafone through P4U. Haven't contacted O2 yet to understand if I can get an upgrade with them for cheaper.

No upfront cost and all of the below for £48.50 monthly.

iPhone 6 64GB
24 Month 4G 7GB Data
Unlimited Minutes
Unlimited Texts

I managed to reserve a 6 64GB this morning at an apple store. It says collection between 12-1pm next Friday, but am I going to get there and still find a massive queue?
