My dads wanting to pick up an IP6 in america to use in the UK on o2. I checked the apple site and it says the lte bands should work in the UK but my sister spoke to an apple online chat person and he said it wouldn't.

Who's right here?

I'd trust the specs on the website over what the support person said. Wasn't a point made in the keynote about the amount of LTE bands supported?

Went down to a mobile phone shop and had a look at the Samsung Note 3 (similar size to the iPhone 6+) and it really wasn't as big as I thought it was. Makes me feel better about reserving the iPhone 6+ because was worried it was going to be way too .

Yes but let's have some honesty please. Many many Apple die hards, some of them on here harangued and ridiculed owners of larger handsets saying they looked absolute tools, pratt's etc. Suddenly they are cool and OK when it's Apple. What did SJ have to say on the subject.

Some of you posters have more neck than a giraffe.

You should hang your heads in shame.

#3183: Just tell them you're on Sprint so you get the correct model which does work with our networks. :)

I don't think anyone with a Galaxy Mega 6.3 can justify why they need a 6.3" phone. The size of the 6+/Note 3/4 is the absolute max before it's just a tablet with phone bits left in.

Plus, you're anti-iPhone 6. Why hang around in its thread?

The phone may work technology wise but getting one that is truly contract free and unlocked is another matter.

Right now the only contract free option is from T-Mobile, someone posted this when asking about that option.

"The T-Mobile iPhone is contract-free and can be used with the GSM carrier of your choice internationally, but comes preconfigured for use with T-Mobile and needs to be activated with T-Mobile in the United States,” an Apple retail support representative wrote. “To use the iPhone with another carrier in the United States, you will want to contact T-Mobile for your available options or wait for the unlocked version of the iPhone to be released.”

I have a contract in the US with AT&T but have not bought a phone with them since the 3GS and just use my UK sim free phones.

Not yet with the 6/Plus, they prioritise the network carriers stock first, could be months before they offer it sim free, I don't know how long it was with the 5S.

Likewise but I am not holding out on them delivering. On the plus side I don't actually mind waiting so if they fail to deliver I will just cancel and order from Apple and wait till they come back in stock

yes spoke to them on chat they and they confirm 100% will be here friday if not will pick up the normal iphone 6 i have for pickup at apple

Why did you not mention Xbox?

Last I checked they have gone back on almost all the Xbox features they touted, the Kinect is no longer required, no more DRM, no more always online etc etc. And its being out sold in every market by the PS4. Its selling but no where nearly as well as MSFT expect, they came in fully expect to wipe Sony out.

Anyone actually has a delivery date on the 19th? I ordered 20 mins after it was available for pre order and my delivery estimate is between 29th sep- 4th oct... How accurate is that?

So I've been into CPW today and ordered the 6 64GB version with EE.

Apparently they have more stock than they have ever had as it has merged with a bigger company (can't mention on here due to competitors) so they pretty much guaranteed it being available to collect on Friday!

I ordered at 8.39am, according to my confirmation email, expected delivery on the 19th (6+, 64GB, Space Grey)

I don't think I'll ever get my head around how many of these they can build each week, and the amount of work involved in ensuring that the component parts are always in stock but without having to keep loads of items on shelves.
