For those with iPhone 6 Plus, how has the experience been over the past couple of days? Really tempted but size is slightly off putting, I guess I'll have to try it myself sometime soon. Would be good to hear from others.

Too big and awkward for me personally. Awaiting a call still from Apple to arrange collection for the return since you can't return online orders in store. Much prefer my 5 size wise and it's hard to notice much of a difference in terms of CPU/GPU in my every day use. Might upgrade next year to the 6S or whatever it's gonna be called, can't really say the upgrade is worth £539 at the moment.

Depends what you use it for. Mostly calls, then possibly a little big. At least 50% apps and web browsing, the plus is a no brainer tbh.

So I've been living with my 6 for 3 days now, and I'm not overly sold. I upgraded from a 4S which has been my trusty steed for a while.

The 6 just feels a little too big for me, I'm running it without a case as I want to appreciate the engineering that's gone into it, but it feels a little hard to hold in my girly hands. Im actually tempted to return it, and just pick up a 5S from those who have upgraded to the 6 but does this seem like a total downgrade?!

I might grab a decent case and see if it helps, I tried the leather apple one in store and didn't really feel it added that much to the grip-ability, but maybe the silicone one will help.

Anyone else in a similar position, or is just me not embracing the new form factor very well?

I feel similar but i am getting used to it. I have girly hands too unfortunately
The camera and battery life on the 6 is better than the 5s (so far) i have the leather case and its getting more grippy with use. The sikicon one felt more slippy to me

I believe you have 14days to return it so I will try it for a solid week, its a huge size change and it will take a bit of time too get used too it, but I think its a net win and if you look back after 1 month even the 5s will feel tiny.

Buying a used 5s of the MM for example is a good shout too, its a much cheaper upgrade and the 5s has most of the features that the 6 will have, outside of apple pay.

For me the big winner so far is the IP6 battery over the 5/5S

Standby 8 hours, usage 3. Safari browsing, Facebook & Ebay apps on 4G, music listening for around an hour and a half. 79% left

I know it's new, but the IP6 battery absolutely blows the 5 out of the water. Very happy with my 6, glad I made the decision to upgrade.

Wow, I'm glad I got a case. I dropped my iPhone 6 face down just now onto the kitchen floor!

Thats not good! I think someone on here has already cracked their screen.

numnutz - I think you should stick with the 6. I felt the same going from my 4S to a 5 - It felt really big but after a few weeks I got used to it and the extra screen size was great

Its the same with everything for me, hardware and software. e.g. going from Win 98 > 2000. I hated 2000 at first, then hated XP then Win 7. Looking back 98 (and especially windows millenium) was a royal turd compared to Windows 7.

Same with older phones too. I really didnt like my Sony ericsson W810i after being with Nokia since before the 3210. The Sony grew on me massively though. Did exactly the same when I first got my iphone 3g. Whats this, only 1 main button??

If I set up the 6 as a new iPhone - can I still restore just the phone book from iTunes on to the phone? If so, how?

I went to pack my 5S up and it's weird how it suddenly feels so tiny. Using it has been a pleasure so far but I've not enjoyed taking it to the gym, partly because I haven't got a case for it yet, and also because my gym shorts pockets aren't very big so it's been in a sock in my gym bag while I push and pull heavy things around. The likelihood of getting tendonitis is higher with this phone (srs) because one handed operation is do-able but the size of the thing means the distribution of weight is further from the hand, putting my pressure/stress on the wrist. I'm pretty sure once I get a case I'll be less nervous handling it as it'll be more grippy.

I'd probably have been quite happy with the 6 too, but I'm all aspie about the little details and things like the OIS only being on the Plus and the battery life meant I wanted the big brother.

I setup mine from the last backup of my old one and it is fine.

Same. I upgraded my 5S to iOS8 on Thursday, as well upgrading to 20GB a month v.s. 5GB on iCloud as it's recently changed to 79p a month - not too bad.

Took out the SIM, put it in the 6S, restored it from the 5S backup... backed it up, then deleted the 5S off iCloud...

All working fine so far - need to try out some of the Extensions but tbh I'm pretty happy with the keyboard as is (I dictate a lot at home as it's quicker), so it'll probably be something for the camera. Wouldn't mind the Met Office to get a weather widget up and running as I find Yahoo Weather is wrong half the time.

Just managed to secure a 12-month SIM only plan with EE giving me 17GB 4GEE+ data, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts for £8.50 per month for the first 6 months and £19.00 a month for remaining 6 months.

Absolute steal!
