I'm really not getting how an iPhone 6 plus is in anyway comparable to even an iPad mini. Even that has significantly more screen estate.

Yup that's what i said earlier in the thread, when i bought my first Note i had all these thoughts of no more need for a tab but it's simply no where near the same experience however big phone screens are great in their own niche, I'd struggle to go less than 5 though i was severely tempted by the sony z3c.

Held my 5S today while I was cleaning it. My gawd - it feels childishly small and it's like "how did I think that was a good screen size for so long?!" - used to the 6 Plus now.

To answer the iPad Mini question, it's convenience. The Plus isn't as good for reading a book on as an iPad Mini, but it's good enough that I feel like I don't need to take both out of the house on the commute. Tablets got smaller and phones got bigger and now there's a sort of meeting in the middle, which historically means something will end up replacing something else. I guess Apple are offering plenty of choice now though so there's plenty of options in terms of the phone/tablet combo that fits your lifestyle/requirements best.

If anything, I'd want tablets to get bigger again (greater than 9.7" - iPad Pro plz) because if I'm not taking the iPad out of the house the portability/bag-friendliness is less of an issue.

The main use my iPad Mini has is just a bit of browsing or some quick Football Manager while I'm laid in bed, so for that job the iPhone 6+ will do absolutely fine. If I used my iPad anymore than that though, it wouldn't come close.

Absolutely loving the 6+ it is my perfect phone.

Great battery life.
Great sound for listening to podcasts.
Excellent screen with accurate colours, you feel like you are touching the pixels (who needs 2k now!)
Powerful, check out the graphics on Pirates!

Super impressed, well done Apple :)

Just let me housemate loose on the phone to Three after 9 months of shocking signal. Managed to wangle my way out of the last 12 months of the contract so now in the market for a iPhone 6 or a 6+. Really not sure which to go for at the moment... I'm leaning towards the 6, I think the 6+ will just be far too big.

Any iPhone 5s users migrated to the 6/6+?

Once again Apple are claiming longer battery life... does this translate to the real world? It seems that if I don't charge my 5s for at least an hour during the day its not going to be up to much for the train ride home. Just wanted to know if people have seen a real life improvement? Or are people still playing with their handsets far too much to make a realistic judgement?

Thanks

I get a good days use out of my 6. It's usually on about 10-20% when I get back home at 7 after unplugging at 8am. I'm pretty impressed by it. My HTC One usually conked out on the train back home.

That's with it just as standard, a few services shut off but tracking my steps/floors/distance in the health app. Those people getting 2 days out of the thing obviously aren't particularly heavy users, although I wouldn't class myself as a heavy user either.

Yeah I'm not a super heavy users and I get about a day, if I start to push it then I will need to charge during the day. Considering its battery size its pretty decent, but at the same time a huge disappointment, if Apple just kept it the same thickness as the iPhone 5/5s and used it for battery this thing could really last a good amount of time.
