Yeah, the system seems to only be active during shop hours.

The reserve system website shuts down at 7pm every night and comes back up around midnight (Normally about 12:05) with new stock.

If you refresh the page from midnight you should be able to reserve one.

Saying you get a good day's use ... just FYI 8am to 7pm isn't a day, it's embarrassingly poor. I really don't understand the quest for thinner and thinner phones just to hold the title of thinnest phone - "best battery life" would make for far more of a selling point!

I should probably rephrase it and say I get 10-20% when I'm out later than 7. I don't need to charge it at all even when I get back at around 11.

The main killer of my battery is web browsing and the screen being on, which is about 4-5 hours a day (hour and a half commute). Whether I come back at about 7 or midnight makes little difference to battery life as I'm not normally on my phone any longer due to actually doing things.

On a non work day the phone appears to get to about 50% at the end of the day.

Totally agree with you on the battery bit though. Add 1mm to the phone and get a much bigger battery and remove the useless sticking out camera...

Decided to get an iPhone 6 in a hurry after breaking my Nexus on Saturday morning... ended up grabbing a 16GB because that was all I could get that was in stock. Kind of regretting that now and thinking I'm going to run out of space, but we'll see how it goes. I don't use iTunes (just Spotify streaming) and don't really take videos or anything like that so hopefully it should be OK. :o

In the same boat here - gone from a Moto G 16Gb and mostly just use my phone for Spotify, browsing, FB and tapatalk.

Just watched mine get delivered on CCTV - ordered the day before release.

Hi,

I've just noticed I'm unable to take a screenshot of any text messages on my 6. I've always been able to on all of my previous iPhones, by pressing the power and face buttons simultaneously. It works on the desktop, so i can take a photo of my desktop, but really want the ability to take a pic of a conversation so i can txt it to someone else.

**edit disregard... seems to be working now ?

12:05, thanks! Will check later tonight :)

It's quite interesting to see how the 6+ isn't the most popular of the options.

I feel like everyone who did want a large screen actually moved away from the iPhone, tried the large screen Androids and found it simply wasn't practical. Now we've been given the option, the 6 screen is actually quite large and the desire for a mammoth screen is simply gone.

Is this a joke?

You seem to be assuming everyone with a large android phone really wants an iPhone and was going to swap back the second Apple released one.

Guess you've forgotten about the bending issue or all the "new" iOS8 features are old to Android.

The bending non issue and what about all the NEW iOS8 features that are not on Android full stop - where's hand off and continuity etc etc.... lol

Decided to plump for a 6+ after getting my hands on both models. I actually prefer the 6, but 6+ isnt too much larger and the extended battery life was enough to sway me. Placed an order online with EE earlier... the order referred and when I phoned up to talk about it their system was down - that hasnt exactly filled me with confidence so may end up going with O2.

The standard iPhone 6 is the kind of jump that most people were asking for. The Android phablets don't sell as well as the "normal" sized phones either.

I had one and I got it replaced by Apple.

You don't buy a £700 phone to put up with a stuck/dead pixel, when they tout the screen as the main hardware feature!

How did you arrange the exchange? I just tried creating a support case and using 'live chat' as the phone lines aren't open, but it was useless and 'Justin' was talking about paying for express repair etc if I needed it quickly.

Is the phone the only way to resolve this, I can't really be without my phone for days

Called up the day I spotted the issue and got put through to the support people who basically put me through to the aftersales team once they'd run through the "are you sure it's not your wallpaper" nonsense :o

Basically, they agreed to send a new phone with accessories, no deposit or card charge necessary, (as it was a launch day phone less than 7 days old). UPS then contact you regarding returning your handset whilst the other gets delivered (either on the same delivery or via 2 separate deliveries).

When I spoke to the aftersales team again today (after the UPS balls up) they weren't bothered about getting the phone back quickly, providing I'd received the replacement first. They even said "we don't want you to be without a phone, so wait for your new handset before returning the faulty one", which was good.

You can also pop instore and get it swapped out (stores keep a reserve stock for faults) but mine is 50 miles away, so that's not an option.

Will call them tomorrow then and see where I get to as what you got in terms of service sounds like what I need.
