IPhone 6s now and then crashes.

Hi. As title.
Battery fully charged. Nothing new Installed. Just randomly turns off or reboots. Can be doing anything at the time on it. So does not appear to be certain apps.

any ideas please ?

Check for panic logs in settings - privacy - analytics and improvements - analytic data

If there are multiple then it’s usually a hardware failure on a non modular component so new handset is required

Now that I could agree with. It is a 6s. Had it some 5 years.

needs charging throughout the day.

gets low quite quickly.

settings > battery > service > 79%
Have thought about a battery replacement. Around £25 fitted. As apart from battery. Phone is fine
 
So you think a replacement battery would be worth while?

my contract finished 3 years ago so on sim only now (EE) @£21 pm.

I have thought of upgrading. Perhaps I should if I can find a good enough deal.
 
I'm still using the 6s I bought when they first came out (new battery fitted by Apple 16 months ago) and I still can't see any good reason to upgrade.

I keep thinking that 'this year they'll be a reason to upgrade' but nothing so far. Maybe the iPhone 12 will offer something compelling (or more likely they'll drop support iOS support for the 6s) that'll make it worthwhile.

You can get cheaper unlimited data contracts than that. I'm on three for £17.50 PCM, but think they can drop it to £16.50. Its hit and miss the speeds you get depending on area.

Also a battery case might be a shout rather than replacing the internal iPhone battery? I got one for my iPhone 7 from the rainforest for £20, and it added an extra 150%.

What do you get for £21 a month? Genuinely curious because as soon as my contact ends I usually get a sim only deal for around a tenner a month but then I don't use that much mobile data.

With EE, I get 5gb data. Unlimited calls and texts.

just been with EE and orange since very beginning. I really should look at changing.
Only stipulation I have is I need to keep my number.

You can keep your number, just text EE and get a PAC code and give it to your new network, job done. I get 4gb data and unlimited calls and texts for £7 a month.

Even if you don't want to switch just call EE, you shouldn't be paying more than £10 a month at the most for what you have.
