iPhone backing up texts

Afternoon all,

Have had issues with my iPhone on Orange for a few weeks now.

Problems are:
1. Texts messages are being received late (sometimes up to 5 days!)
2. Voicemail Icon won't go away (have phoned Orange who tried to clear it - no such luck!)

They have suggested I delete all my texts!

Is there anyway that I can back them up, delete them all (to see if it works) and then if yes/not, put them back on?

As Raymond says.. use iTunes to backup your handset then do a full restore.

Are you sure this will work? I really don't want to lose all my texts!

So basically, sync it up in iTunes and then delete them all on the iPhone and then do a restore?

It restores pretty much all your data, right down to time left on the stopwatch!

Thanks guys. Did the restore and I'm still getting the problems. Going to be called back by Orange tomorrow. At least I have exhausted this avenue so perhaps now they'll give me the new sim card which I've known I always needed!
